Suggest Remedies For Chronic Cough While On Lyrica
Hello, I have been suffering from chronic cough for over 20 years. My Thoracic specialist found vocal chord spasms whilst performing a bronchoscopy around 5 years ago. I have been taking Lyrica 150mg per day which helped. Speech therapy and breathing exercises have helped mildly. Within the last 4 years I have often experienced closure of the vocal chords which stops me from breathing. The only thing that allows me to breath again and is glyceryl trinitrate spray. Is this because it relaxes the smooth muscle in that area? If so, is there any medication that I can take that relaxes that area all the time? An attack today left me fighting to inhale within seconds. I am in Australia. My email is YYYY@YYYY
It is unlikely to be related to lyrica. Consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated. Start a short course of antibiotics. Expectorant cough syrups will be better.
