Hi,

You likely have a bacterial respiratory tract infection which is involving your sinuses and causing your headaches and pressure in the face. Treatment would involve:

(1) Rest and fluids, this is very important, the body needs time to heal.

(2) Anti histamine/ decongestant oral combination to help with the sinuses. A topical decongestant such as otrivine or normal saline would help as well. These are all over the counter.

(3) Paracetamol or ibuprofen would help the pain.

(4) Antibiotics may be also be needed as well along with a mucolytic to help break up the mucus in the chest.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
