Suggest Remedies For Deep Cough, Breathing Problem And A Rash On The Arm

I have a very deep cough, no fever for 3 weeks. Doc said it s allergies, but am concerned as I find it difficult to breathe especially at night. New today - a rash - mostly arms. Live in Florida and it s been hot & golfed a couple times this weekend.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Heat can cause a rash to occur so it is possible that this may be a cause of the skin changes that you are seeing.

Post nasal drip is the most common cause of persistent cough. The other causes are reflux and asthma.
Some persons can have more than one.

Some persons may not be aware of the post nasal drip.

The use of decongestants and anti histamines would be helpful.

If you can determine the source of your reaction, this would be good so that you can reduce or eliminate exposure

I hope this helps
