Suggest Remedies For Diarrhea In An Infant
Hi, my baby is of 9 months old and having loose motions about 7-9 times with dark greenish color I hav consult my Doctor but giving that medicine I couldn t find any kind of improvement.... so what can be done for reducing motions to my baby..can I give sporlac to my baby??? Please suggest....

I am sorry for the diarrhea problems your 9 months old baby is having. Yes, can give sporlac. That is a probiotic which can help stabilize intestinal flora.
It was better if you could send the names of medicines her doctor prescribed, however, I can suggest as following:
- take sporlac
- increase water intake with oral rehydration salts to replace the lost fluids
- take tasectan or peptobismol to stop diarrhea
- follow BRAT diet (banana, rice, apple sauce, toast). Greek yogurt is excellent to stabilize intestinal flora and regulate gut function
- do follow strict hygienic measures when preparing food or when changing her diapers. Do keep regular follow up with her doctor until betterment.
