Suggest Remedies For Diarrhea With Dark Stool

Hello, my partner has had diarrhea for over 3 weeks after getting flu shot. In last 3 days stool has changed colour to dark maroon. no other apparent symptoms. Her doctor has ordered blood tests and ultrasound. Today for first time the stool changed to more of an orangish colour. Any advice on diet, etc. until tests come back?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, the diarrhea may be due to colitis, an amoebic, or bacterial infection.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms injection of amikacin, for 5 consecutive days, ofloxacin, ornidazole, ranitidine, and lactic acid bacilli.
Ask her to avoid spices, junk foods, oily foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
