Suggest Remedies For Difficulty In Swallowing And Frequent Burps

I have trouble swalloaing meats and thick foods...I seem to burp a lot withwhen I intake liquids or solids I did a radiological test wher I swallowed a pill and x rays were taken , my doctor says the results problem and suggested stretching my esaghagus how can I lessen this problem on my on when eating? I an 72 years old

Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, if they suggest opening the esophagus:

1) Biopsy to rule out cancer should be done and can be done while stretching it

2) It works to help symptoms and is neither complicated nor risky.
