Suggest Remedies For Dizziness When Recovering From Diarrhea

I ve been battling a stomach bug where i had diarrhea that started early Tuesday morning. But starting yesterday evening I began to feel dizzy in a way and hard to focus on things. The best way i can describe it is as the feeling you get in a dark room and there is a strobe light on. My body feels jerky and i feel like i may faint or black out if i don t sit down soon.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are suffering from diarrhea & now are having dizziness, you are already dehydrated. You should visit the ER, you need intravenous fluid support. You may need intravenous antibiotics to control diarrhea. Neglecting will lead to worsening of the symptoms.

However, in the meantime take ORS, juices & soups. Take antidiarrheals (Loperamide/Pepto Bismol). Boil raw bananas, mash it & take it with salt, it is a natural antidiarrheal.

You can take antacid, PPI's when needed to get rid of gastritis or acid reflux.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
