General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As long as you are not having any symptoms of organ damage, such as a severe headache, chest pain, nausea or vomiting, or neurological symptoms such as delirium or weakness on one side of your body.

You would not need immediate medical attention and it would be safe to slowly lower your blood pressure over days to weeks.

Taking an extra dose of Losartan is reasonable and I would just try to relax as much as possible.

Avoid eating anything with a lot of salt and let your doctor know as soon as you can so that your blood pressure medications can be adjusted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
