Suggest Remedies For Fluid Buildup In Liver And Blaoting

My mother is 91 and has been diagnosed with liver & kidney failure..... She had fluid drained at hospital then they said she needed to go to a hospice house. They kept her a couple of weeks then sent her home. She has now filled up with fluid again. She has hospice nurses seeing her several times a week & they say there is not much that can be done for her.. Should is bloating with fluid again so should she be taken to the hospital again or left alone so she can pass. She says she is not in pain but doesn t want to eat & is completely bed fast. There is family members disagreeing on what should be done with her filling up with fluid again. Does she have any chance of recovering or if the fluid is drained prolonging her life?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Better to take her to the nearest hospital for fluid drainage. An ultrasound abdomen can be considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
