Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think I have a mild case of food poisoning. I m having trouble keeping water and gatorade down...even in small sips (1 tablespoon every hour or so). I haven t had any solid food since 8 p.m. last night....any suggestions on soothing food that won t upset the system ??
Your symptoms seem to be related to food poisoning. I suggest avoid solid foods until vomiting ends. Then eat light, bland foods, such as saltine crackers, bananas, rice, or bread.
Sipping liquids may help avoid vomiting. Don't eat fried, greasy, spicy, or sweet foods. Don't take anti-nausea or anti-diarrhea medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
