Suggest Remedies For Growing Ridge In Back Molar With Swollen Gums
The last ridge of my back molar is growing in and my gum has swelled . I also have braces and a bracket has already been placed on the tooth. The bracket is being lodged into my gum and I'm pretty sure the wire is stuck to because of how much movement has been caused. The gum underneath my tooth is also bleeding quite a bit. What should I do? My mom thinks that my gum is jut swollen bc the rest of the tooth is growing in and won't make an appointment to see my Orthodontist . Please help me I'm in so much pain
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the gum is getting infected in that area leading to overgrowth or hypertrophy of the gum and bracket in being lodged in it.. Gum bleeding also seems to be due to infection and inflammation in the gum.. If the bracket is lodged in the gum n also wire is stuck in it then definitely there will be pain and swelling and you should consult your Orthodontist for replacing the bracket.. I would suggest you to as of now apply numbing gel over the gums to relieve pain.. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.. Do cool water rinses.. Do betadine mouthwash gargles.
Hope this helps..
Regards..
