Hello,
Both
headaches and
nosebleeds are very common, and they are usually not a cause for concern. When they occur at the same time, you might think that they are linked. In many cases, headache and nosebleed at the same time is a coincidence, and in others, everyday factors such a the
common cold or seasonal allergies can cause both symptoms.
A nosebleed can occur if a person has a broken or burst blood vessels inside the nose. Blood vessels of this area are sensitive and may break due to skin dryness or
injury.
You don't need to do any test if it is manageable at home, for the treatment base you should:
- Keeping a headache dairy to identify patterns and triggers
- Changing environmental factors, such as bright lights
- Adopting healthy lifestyle factors, such as exercise and good sleeping habits
- Practicing relaxation techniques
- Sit up to reduce your nasal blood pressure and minimise bleeding
- Pinch both your nostrils shut to put pressure on your nose
- During dry season you can use vaporizers in your home, to keep it moist
- You may also wish to take an OTC
allergy drug after prescription to prevent headache and nasal symptoms if you think this is seasonal allergy
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
