Suggest Remedies For Insomnia, Anxiety And Panic Attacks
Hi, umm my girlfriend is having problems sleeping at night. She says that its possible because of her anxiety but she just wants to know how to stop it or just slow it down. When she tries to sleep at night and is about to sleep she randomly gets the urge to breath as if her body is forgetting to which it won t but you know. It causes a bit of panic, stress, 4 hours of sleep at night and of course anxiety. Every know and then when she needs to speak she ll get the urge to take deep breaths to get a few words out.
Anxiety is common problem. It can be a short term or long term problem.
Treatment involves both psychotherapy and medication though some persons only require psychotherapy.
The medication may be for a short period of time, if it is needed. It would depend on her response.
Psychotherapy would explore her thoughts and ideas, any perceptions that may be contributing to her anxiety and try to alter her thought process and therefore reduce her levels of anxiety. It would teach techniques to help to deal with stressful situations.
I hope this helps
