General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If your throat feels hot this may be due to GERD. This is when the acids of the stomach go back in the throat and may cause local irritation.
You may use Omeprazole 20 mg 30 minutes before breakfast to help with this and also make sure you eat frequent small amounts of food during the day and avoid food or drinks 4 hours before bedtime.

If you notice no improvement in a week or you notice any worsening you will need to see your doctor.

I hope this is helpful and answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further assistance is needed.

Regards,
