Suggest Remedies For Itching Throughout The Body During Pregnancy

Recently I have been itching all over my body. I ve tried creams my dr recommended and nothing helps. I am 38 weeks + 5 days and I went to the hospital for not feeling well. They ran a bile salt test but won t have the results till Monday. I looked up the risk factors and now I m scared to death to lose my baby. Has anyone ever had this or dealt with this and how do they prevent anything happening?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is understandable to be concerned about any abnormal symptoms but at 38 weeks your baby is fully developed and will able to survive if the doctors need to induce delivery for any safety reasons.

He or she should be okay but if the doctors are concerned, then they can deliver safely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
