Suggest Remedies For Itchy, Red Rashes With Burning Sensation On The Neck And Eyelids

Last week my neck was itching, burning, and red. My neck felt rough and dry and I put itching/burning cream on it. It helps, but it s from the back of my head to my shoulders. I think I m starting get the same type of rash, but on my eyelids. What could it be? I m in so much pain that I feel like my neck is on fire.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the rash could be due to fungal dermatitis. When you have touched the neck area, accidentally you might have touched the eyes without washing your hands.

Please send a photo of the rash area to me for further evaluation.

Apply clotrimazole and hydrocortisone cream on the affected area. Calamine lotion can ease the itching.

If no improvement should consult further with a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
