Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just got my blood work back. I had gotten MRSA from the hospital in my one Breast. I took a lot of Antibiotics and it seems to have cleared up. I insisted in blood work. This report came back. I am concerned about the White Blood Cell count. My doctor says not worry it shows NO infection? How can I and should I try to bring up the Linfocitos and how do I do that? Should I get more blood work in a few weeks to be sure the MRSA infection is gone? + Linfocitos...................: 46 % ( 20 - 45 ) Minocitos................. 3% (2- 10) Control Diferencials 100% 100%
Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell, they would go up if there is a viral infection but in the presence of an infection, the total white cell count would also be increased.
If the total white cell count is okay then no infection is present. There is no specific action to increase the lymphocytes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
