Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 46 years old and have always had a lot of menstrual cramps & pretty severe back ache with my monthly cycle. I recently started skipping a period, had a low flow for 20 days straight & had very little cramping or back ache. My dr said I was beginning menopause. But then the last two months have been extreme with the cramps, back ache, pressure & diarrhea. After experiencing a couple of months of hardly any pain, I m beginning to think I ve been having some pretty extreme symptoms all these years but didn t really realize it. I assumed most women were going through what I was going through. I need some relief. Is there a prescription that can help? Thank you.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, your all symptoms are due Menopausal symptoms. During menopause, women go under extreme hormonal changes. These hormonal changes give all the symptoms. So better to consult gynecologist and get done hormone levels to know the severity of hormonal imbalance. You will definitely improve with hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Once your hormones are normalize, you will be alright. HRT is prescribed drug and for this you need to consult gynecologist. I can not give you prescription online. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
