Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have milia on my face. Is there a way I can treat it myself? The dermatologist only removed one and wouldn t do any more. I think it had to do with it not being covered by medicare. I am 83 years old and have always had very nice skin. I don t have wrinkles....just the milia. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you so much!
I suggest you clean and exfoliate the skin. Gently exfoliating the area with a warm washcloth may get rid of dead skin cells. I also recommend trying a facial peel.
If the symptoms continue I recommend seeing a dermatologist for further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
