Suggest Remedies For Muscle Cramps Causing Severe Leg Pain

Hi! I've noticed a slight discomfort on my left side, slightly towards the back, mid-way up. I thought perhaps I pulled a muscle, but when I twist from side to side, it almost feels like I can feel something?! It's not painful, but at times sort of achy?!

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are complaining of slight discomfort and little pain without any history of injury or fall, this is quite a good indication that the problem is not serious and is a common one.

You need to:

1) Do some stretching exercises in the morning which you can easily learn through videos online.

2) Do not massage vigorously over the pain region, this may increase your problem

3) If you are obese try to reduce your weight by exercises and also dietary enhancements.

Do not worry, eat healthy food, drink lot of water, if the problem persists or increases in severity it is advisable that you get an examination done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suhas Chauhan
