Suggest Remedies For Nail Infection In Right Ring Finger
My right ring finger has an infection. The nail appears to be dead. The infection was on the lower corner of the finger a month ago, when I last saw a doctor for it. That doctor sent a speciman of the nail to the lab to check for fungus growth, as that was a previous issue. However, I received a letter from the doctor saying the lab results was negative for fungus growth and recommend I see a dermatologist. The infection has since spread wider and below the cuticle. It is also still swollen.
Since fungal infection is ruled out, this could be of bacterial origin. Please get your blood sugar test done. As for treatment, would prescribe Warm soaks - Warm water + antiseptic liquid soap, soak for 3-4 times daily for about 10-15 minutes. Apply Bacitracin ointment Tab. Clarithromycin 500 mg twice a day for 10 days. Tab. Vitamin C 500mg once a day for a month.
Wear rubber gloves to avoid contact with soap, detergent. Utmost care of hygeine, keep hand clean and dry.
