Suggest Remedies For Nasal Congestion In A 3 Month Old Infant
My baby is 3month old and given vaccination 2 days back, after which she has a mild fever for which we given dolo drops to her.But now she has a cold with running nose and blockage with mild fever. I have no cold drops and dolo with nasal decongestants drops. What to do please suggest.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Generally, upper respiratory drops in infants is caused due to viral infection, which would be self limiting over a period of time. However, it needs to be treated symptomatically. Continue with Dolo drops, which would take care of fever. You can use drops containing Chlorpheniramine maleate and Phenylephrine which is anti-allergic and decongestant. You can use saline nasal drops for blocked nose. Kindly consult Pediatrician for proper dosage to be administered. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
