Hi,

Your symptoms suggest pressure / pinching of nerve supplying the part while standing or walking. Such pressure can be at lumber spine / intervertebral disc problem or pressure at sciatic notch of pelvis on sciatic nerve. It can be again due to pressure by pyriformis muscle in sciatic notch. You should take rest & OTC pain medicine like Ibuprofen & B12 preparation like Nerobion pill (twice a day after food). If pain does not subside in 5 days, consult an orthopedic doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
