I have had neck stiffness for about a month. When it first started I couldn t turn my head at all. I went to urgent care and they gave me a shot. It has improved but it is still stiff and some pain. I have changed the pillow I sleep on and use heat pad before bedtime but it is still stiff in the mornings. My email address is YYYY@YYYY

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may need to use a muscle relaxant and anti inflammatory pain killer to see if this helps.
These can be combined with the warm compresses that you are currently using.

Even if there is no pain the anti inflammatory pain killer (ibuprofen, naproxen, voltaren) would help reduce any inflammation that may be present in the affected area.

Examples of muscle relaxants are soma, flexeril, baclofen.

I hope this helps
