Suggest Remedies For Pain Around My Rib Cage

Hi I m a recreational tennis player male and 45 yrs old. Recently, I changed my serving routine after a week I felt pain around my right rib cage below arm pit to lower shoulder at the back. I can t do push ups anymore due to pain it s like you can t breathe. The pain goes away when I play on the court but when at rest the pain seem to get activated after play. I applied ice pack and took pain drugs.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query at healthcaremagic.com
It seems like you have pulled your muscle.

Along with ice and anti inflammatory give proper rest.

Rest will accreted the healing. Once the pain come down start a moderated stretches along with strengthening exercise of shoulder girdle.

Key point to be remembered: Without fail do warm up and cool down in any game you play.

Hope this will help you. Wish you the speedy recovery.

Please write to me if you would like to know any specific exercises.

Best wishes,
