Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Pain going down right leg which has been less used because of cerbral palsy at birth, Most weight has been put on left leg and that heel is hurting after a miscus tear repair in November. So this is causing bone on bone and will need the knee replaced shortly. However the right is causing pain as I walk off balance a little. Could it be a spine problem and what needs to be done?
Yes, it could be due to balancing with the right leg which you were not used to. For temporary pain relief, you can use topical gel/spray of NSAIDS until your left is corrected, I also suggest you for physiotherapy right leg, it will improve its capacity a little. Try to maintain a correct posture and avoid much of balance on right and i advice to use a stick on right/walker that will give a lot of support.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shah Sayeema Nissar Kirmani, General & Family Physician
