For as long as I can remember, I m a 56 year old female, I have had a feeling at my right should blade that feels like the skin is splitting open. It happened occasionally, but in the last 2 years it is happening more and the pain has changed. It feels like an intense pinch.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a musculoskeletal or inflammatory pain.
As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI to rule out ligament or tendon injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
