Suggest Remedies For Painful Ankle Around The Heel Of Left Foot
I am having ankle pain on the inside of my ankle bone towards my heel on my left foot. Two years ago I had Achilles tendonitis and went through physical therapy and it got better. The pain then was more at the back of my heel. I also had plantar fasciitis 8 or 9 years ago. The swelling and pain I have now is different than the pain I had in the past. At times I also have sharp pains in the bottom of my foot in the fleshy part of the heel area. I have been doing stretching exercises I learned in physical therapy applying ice and taking Advil for pain when I need it. This has been going on a good 3 months with little improvement. What do I need to do different?
The supportive measures are best meant for plantar fascitis as: - Heating pad application - Control of body weight, blood sugar - Avoid walking barefoot - Use soft cushion or pad in shoes or other foot ware - Analgesic as and when required - Wax bath physiotherapy in selected cases - Surgery is rarely required
