General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Indeed, brown recluse bite is difficult to treat. We usually recommend to:
- raise the the arm or leg if you were bitten on these parts
- wash with warm water and soap
- apply antiseptic
- apply antibiotic ointment locally at least twice daily
- apply aloe vera on the bite site

If no improvement, or if getting worse, should seek medical attention.

With regards to prevention, as the spiders tend to live indoor and outdoor, please shake the clothes when your take out from wardrobe, shake your bed and remove the sheets before sleeping, to prevent biting again.

Wish fast recovery.
