General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Ask a doctor services. I have read your query.

Since you are having UI(Urinary incontinence), you are suggested to get clinically examined for persistent lower backache. Lower backache may be the factor that is causing you UI.

Common cause of UI are Cauda Equina, arthritis, diabetes, anxiety, stress, obesity & age. The treating doctor will tell you do a series of blood & imaging tests to detect the cause of lower back pain.

You will be treated accordingly. You can take NSAIDS, Naproxen, one sos when needed for pain relieve. Do exercises taking help from a physiotherapist. Avoid alcohol, it reduces the efficacy of the medications.

To keep UI under control, do pelvic floor exercises, train your bladder to hold urine for a longer time. Botox injections & medicines to relax the bladder muscles are effective.

Hope I have answered your question. Take care.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K
