Suggest Remedies For Post Bleach Spots On The Forehead
Hi Doctor I have used an oxybleach product 3 months back which has lead to two dark spots on my forehead. I have consulted a demetologist he has suggested trcroz forte pintment in the morning and flutivate ointment in the evening. Please advice me what needs to be done to tackel these post bleach spots. Thanking you
It sounds like you have hyperpigmentation, a consequence of aggressive treatment with topical products. It is hard to tell you which route to go without knowing your skin, eye and hair color, but I will suggest you follow your dermatologists recommendations with the topical steroid cream flutivate first for several weeks, and tacroz thereafter if the steroid cream fails. Once the hyperpigmented area calms down, I would recommend some mild chemical peels to get your face back to a uniform color. I commonly use a 4% cream of Hydroquinone (a better whitening agent) for a period of less than 3 months to reduce pigmentation. A 3% salicyclic acid chemical peel can also help with exfoliation as well as a 0.025% tretinoin cream applied twice weekly. I recommend you use this regiment for a period of 6 weeks before attempting a mild 20% Salicylic acid chemical peel to exfoliate all of your skin equally, including the hyperpigmented areas. A dermatologist can help you with this therapy. You have to be very careful what you put on your face in the future as you appear to have sensitive skin. Also, it is imperative if you are using any of the products mentioned above to wear UV protection sunscreen of 30 SPF or above to avoid UV hyper-pigmentation.
