Suggest Remedies For Recurring Painful Pus Filled Bumps On Face

yes, I have reoccurring painful bumps on my face filled with fluid. The pain is like shingles which I have had. I know you can have reoccurring herpetic syndrome which is what I think it is but the fluid filled painful bumps/knots occur across the midline everytime. I had the same fluid filled bumps on both my ear lobes which split the lobes on both ears. I am being treated for shingles but the doctor and CRNP seem to doubt me. what else could it be? It occurs during stressful times always.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.

You could have a particularly severe form of acne vulgaris, especially as you have noticed the pustules appearing during times of stress. It may also be due to herpes, but herpes lesions appear in an orderly fashion, in a particular area only.

A course of oral antibiotics alongwith local antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications will control the lesions. Please consult with your doctor for medications for acne which are safe to take alongwith your herpes medications, if you are taking any.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr Geeta
