As per your complain it seems that you have been bitten by a relatively poisonous organism and swelling is due to toxic sting left under the skin by the stinger of the organism leading to allergic reaction causing inflammation and swelling.. The reaction leads to inflammation at the site of bite and the symptoms that you are experiencing of swelling are not abnormal and you need not to worry about it as the swelling will go down gradually.. You can be given oral anti allergics like Levocetrizine, Allegra etc.. A steroid shot can be given to reduce swelling faster.. You can also do cool compresses over the swelling..
