Suggest Remedies For Redness On The Inside Of The Throat
My son has a sore throat, but I m wondering if it could be something more serious. The back of his throat is really red, along with his tonsils. He also has small bumps in the back of his throat and inside his mouth. I can t tell if he has bumps on the tonsils though. His appetite is decreased significantly. He has a low grade fever.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of redness on the inside of the throat which seems to be due to tonsil stones, strep throat, inadequate hygiene of oral cavity and poor immunity of body and it could be tonsillitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once for proper diagnosis and rule out causes mentioned above. Avoid intake of oily and spicy food and cold carbonated beverages. Maintain complete oral hygiene. You should suck on lemon candy. Usually treatment is not necessary, as the tonsils will clean themselves just do warm saline gargles. If condition keeps on persisting visit oral pathologist once as well to find exact cause and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
