My husband is 64 years old and has cold. He is having terrible leg cramps at night in his back thighs and calves. The gets large knots that come up on front thighs protruding about one half inches high and about three inches long. He does not work any more, does not do extreme exercising. His feet tingle and burn badly. He is not diabetic.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The treatment of his condition will depend on the underlying cause.Possible causes may include: -Ionic imbalances like low calcium, low maganesium.. -Dehydration -Vitamin deficiency -Peripheral neuropathy I will suggest you try the following: *Take a pain drug like prednisolone for say 5 days.Chronic use of this drug not advise to limit side effects *A myorelaxant like miorel *Rest well *Eat well and healthy with enough green vegetables *Drink enough water If symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for evaluation and investigations. You may need tests like full blood count, serum electrolytes, vitamin levels. Hope this will help Best regards
