Suggest Remedies For Severe Nerve Pain When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia
I have just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I am experiencing severe nerve pain from my hip to thighs to lower legs, feet and toes. I can t walk, wear shoes or socks or stand the pain of the waistband of underwear or pants. I applied OTC 4% lidocaine lotion with little affect. Would RX strength lidocaine be any better?
It needs to get to the nerves. First, the pattern has to be where the nerves go. Look, if one black circle appears in the middle of the floor, it isn't the wiring. It may be demonic possession but not the wiring. From the belt downward, it is not a wiring pattern you get with nerves.
So, assuming it were some nerves, lidocaine on the skin doesn't get deep. It is metabolized when it gets to the bloodstream basically instantaneously. If you were giving it for a twitchy heart you need a continuous IV at a brisk pace, or drugs that act like lidocaine but last measurable amounts of time, or Amitryptiline or any anti-epileptic.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Matt Wachsman
