Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain In Left Knee Post A Sprain
About 3 weeks ago I sprained or strained my left knee. Pain is on the outside and just a little below the center of my knee. Pain is there only when I stand up after sitting or it is there when I sit after standing. The pain does not last and goes away right away. It does not hurt when I walk or stand. In fact I road my bike for about an hour last week. It was hurting just a little when I started out but soon went away. Their isn t any swelling. When I try to kneel down on my good right knee the left hurts some while I am lowering myself down. When I climb up a ladder with my left knee going up first it hurts, same pain if I lower myself while supporting my weight with my left foot on the upper rung. I am 79 and have always been very active. I ve always had strong knees and legs. I still go on ski trips during the winter out in Colorado.
Sometimes there is a hairline fracture which causes pain without swelling. An X-ray or MRI of the area will reveal this. Treatment will be simple once it is diagnosed. till then you can use hot fomentation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
