Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain In My Arm After Injecting In Shoulder

I had injections in my shoulder yesterday, at 0100 I woke up with severe pain. From my shoulder to elbow I can hardly move my arm and when I try to the pain brings me to tears. If I straighten my elbow the whole arm goes numb quickly. I cannot function without my right arm and even when I keep it still there is a sharp shooting pain that comes about every five minutes. I called the doctor and he says it's normal...I don't know what to do.
