Suggest Remedies For Severe Tingling Sensation In Left Arm And Fingers

I have an intermittent tingling in my left arm all the way down into my fingers. no pain just an unusual tingling. It comes on and passes pretty quickly but i am getting it often. I am a male 49. I do have treated high BP. I am active and exercise pretty vigorously daily. lots of push-ups and different weights but not overly heavy. I have recently began taking Testosterone replacement therapy as well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Tingling in the arm that goes down to the fingers is very likely due to a nerve being pinched. This can happen at the level of the neck, most of the times, or due to tense muscles pressing on the nerve.
You might need to have a neck x-ray to make sure there is no pinching in the nerve root as it comes out of the spine.
If the x-ray is normal then you will need to see a physiotherapist and have some exercises to help with the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
