Suggest Remedies For Sharp Pain In Calf Muscles With Deep Bruises On Them

I woke up with a sharp pain in my calf muscle on my left leg. I ran in flip flops the day before and assumed it was just strained. Overnight I put a mild pain reliever on the ache and in the morning it was a little better. The next day when I put a lot of pressure on the leg, I felt a pop and the calf looks like it has two deep bruises and is excruciating to put weight on. It got better after a day or two and tonight I did it again. Not sure what to do?

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.

You should continue with rest, ice apply and nonsteroid painkillers take elastic bandage since this was probably partial muscle rupture and it should heal in 1-2 weeks. If there is swelling and progressive deep pain then you should do Doppler ultrasound to rule out vein thrombosis.I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
