Suggest Remedies For Sharp Pain In Heels While Being Due For Varicose Veins Surgery
I am a 50 year old male, and a chef! I have varicose veins for which ive already scheduled surgery in 2 months; however, I am experiencing very sharp pains on my heels whether when I put my foit down AND when I lift it up? It s a very sharp pain & at times quite unbearable? What is wrong with my feet (this happens more on one foot than the other...)
It can be due to a condition called plantar fascitis and needs OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with calcium, ossien mineral complexes as well as vitamin D3 supplements.
Foot wear should be very soft and you can use heel pads too which are medicated and available readily. Uric acid levels should also be done.
If condition persists steroid injection in the heel under the skin may be required to decrease the inflammatory changes.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
