Suggest Remedies For Sharp Pain In The Throat

Hi, I am on low carb diet since last 2 months.. But from last ten days I am suffering from throat pain. And doctor detected that I am having silent reflux. Is thr any relation between low carb diet and silent reflux? And this reflux is causing sharp pain in my throat and it dissapears and again comes back at different position in throat. What should I do?

Hello,

If you are using a high fat diet, this may increase the time food stays in the stomach and might make the reflux worse.
To help with it try to have frequent small amounts of food during the day and use Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day. Avoid meals 3-4 hours before bed and avoid cola, coffee, alcohol and smoking as these make reflux worse.

If no improvement with the symptoms or any worsening you will need to talk again to your doctor and have examinations.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
