Suggest Remedies For Side Effects From Amitriptyline

I was given amitripaline and am having the following systems. Since being on this med I simply falls which occurs twice or more a day. I don t always have awareness. Shortness of breath, bruises and downright can t sleep no more that 2-3 hours a day. Can you help?

Hi

Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, weight gain, or trouble urinating may occur.To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

Starting with a low dose and gradual increase in dose is required to reduce adverse effects. Bruising,bleeding,difficulty in breathing could also be an allergic reaction to the drug.Incase of severe reaction switching over to other antidepressant is recommended.
