Suggest Remedies For Stage 1 Kidney Failure In A Diabetic Patient

I am a type ll diabetic who takes Levimir 20u BID am & pm, Novolog 12u to 16u (sliding scale)TID before meals. I have not eaten anything for 5 days except sips of water or fruit juice for low bs. I only have 1 kidney (Lt.) which is in stage 1 kidney failure and my left side is hurting. What should I do?

Hello,

I will advise you to drink plenty of fluids. Eat a diabetic diet healthy plan. If pain does not subside in a couple of days., get an ultrasonography of abdomen.
