Suggest Remedies For Swelling And Pain In Forearm

Hello, I am having some forearm swelling and pain. I do not recall injuring it, but I am a farmer and I do lift a lot of materials with a wheel barrow. It started with some pain and then the swelling set in (weakness also especially with turning my wrist such as turning a jar lid), no bruising. The swelling decreases if I do not use my wrist, but when I do it swells back up. 5 days of pain, 3 days of swelling.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The mentioned symptoms could be due to musculoskeletal pain by some unaccustomed activity.

Anti-Inflammatory medication can be prescribed for five days.

Topical diclofenac gel is also beneficial.
Avoid strenuous activities and take rest.

If no improvement then you have to consult nearby physician for detailed evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
