Suggest Remedies For Swollen And Bruised Face And Eyes Post An Injury
I fell and hit my cheekbone on tile floor 3 months ago I had a facial CT scan which showed no fracture but I was swollen and faces and eye on that side very bruised. Now it is still very sore and a hollow looking streak on that side of my face. When is this likely to heal?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swollen and bruised face and eyes post an injury which is a very common thing that occur due inflammation and internal bleeding. Sometimes it can occur due to fractured underlying bone and formation of hematoma. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses and give these compresses several times a day. You should take ibuprofen(if not allergic) or acetaminophen for pain and swelling. Keep you head elevated while lying down and consult oral and maxillofacial surgeon without any delay for proper evaluation to rule out condition like fracture and start treatment accordingly. Doctor may open the site reduce the fracture and do plating .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
