Hi, I was bodysurfing last weekend and got slammed down on the sand bar very hard. I heard and felt my shoulder crunch and have been icing for a week. My collar bone seems to click when I move my arm, is a bit swollen with limited range of motion and my neck is hurting. what should i do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to the injury. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. I recommend to maintain the area immobilized to prevent further damage.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
