Suggest Remedies For Swollen, Painful, Discolored Vein On Vagina Post An Injury

A few nights ago my boyfriend and i were havung sex, but we were both pretty intoxicated. He didnt know how rough he was being when he went down on me (he was sucking really hard and it felt like his fingernails might have cut me) when i told him it hurt he stopped and said that i was bleeding. And i bled a lot and very quickly. Its been 2 days and i have a swollen purple vein on the left side, it is a little tender but not itchy or anything else. What should i do to help it go back to normal? If there is anything.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared if it was traumatic injury which seems more likely will resolve spontaneously.

However, you can use OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen to control pain as well as to reduce inflammation.

Meanwhile, if any pus discharge or local infection is suspected local and oral antibiotics may be needed but not at the moment.

You can use a local anesthetic cream to reduce pain if severe. Preferably avoiding intercourse for a week or two to facilitate healing is recommended. If issue persists gynecologist review may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
