Suggest Remedies For Swollen Uvula And Severe Throat Pain
I woke up with throat pain. This is the 4th time I'm suffering from this type of throat pain but this time pain is not tolerable, i can see some swollen behind my uvula i can't drink or eat anything. What is it? What can i do? What is the treatment?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swollen uvula and severe throat pain which seems to be actually lymph nodes in neck which are draining tonsils. It could be due to acid reflux.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take stream and warm saline gargles several times a day specially before going to bed. You should avoid intake of sharp and spicy food. You should consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out other conditions . Doctor may order blood test , X-ray or CT scan to find out the exact cause. Doctor may prescribe antibiotic course for around week , mucolytic drug (ambroxol) or antihisamine drug.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
