Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my thumb and it pops back and forth into place at the joint. I don t know if I dislocated it since I can still move my thumb. Had no idea I had to pay for an answer. Sorry I thought this was like some of the other websites. I ll followup with my PCP. Thanks anyway
To relieve pain, your doctor might recommend topical medications, such as capsaicin or diclofenac, which are applied to the skin over the joint. Over-the-counter pain relievers, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) or naproxen sodium (Aleve).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
